Immigration New Zealand has made further changes to assist with faster processing in the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme.
Now when applying for, or renewing accreditation, employers no longer need to provide evidence about their staff and AEWV employees completing the Employment New Zealand learning modules with their application.
Employers will still need to confirm that staff involved in recruitment have completed them and that new AEWV employees have been offered paid time to do the modules.
You can find more information about these modules here
Immigration New Zealand has reported they have been able to reduce the number of applications in progress and have been making more decisions in October than September. With 73% more AEWV applications, 57% more Job Check applications and 25% more employer accreditation applications processed.
Checklist for Job Checks
A new checklist is also available to help make employers’ next Job Check applications easier.
Employers can use the checklist to make sure they include everything required with their application. Providing everything needed helps it be processed faster.
