This member survey conducted in June 2022 provides insight into food costs, where they are increasing, and supply shortages.
Key findings:
- 71% describe food costs as going up across the board.
- 22% describe food costs as volatile.
- Dairy, chicken and poultry, and dry goods are the most frequently named items with bigger increases in price than typical.
- 86% say they have noticed short supply of products – most frequently named items include, beef, chicken, oil, food wrap.
MEMBER FEEDBACK:
“We have to over buy & run a stock room as everything keeps getting outta stocked. Everything.”
“As we increase menu prices the price of ingredients seem to increase- so it seems to continually be status quo.”
