HospoCred application – supporting docs checklist

As part of the hospitality industry accreditation, HospoCred, online application process please ensure that the following documents to support your application are provided.

  • This is Step 2 of the application process.
  • We recommend that you collate all of the documents together and then share with the HospoCred business advisors using a platform like Dropbox, or WeTransfer. Email to hospocred@restaurantnz.co.nz.
  • If you need help putting in place some of the policies or other employment documents, we’ve provided some links to guidance and templates that will assist, or call the team on 0800 737 827, or email hospocred@restaurantnz.co.nz.
  • All information provided as part of the online application form and any supporting documents will be kept completely confidential in a password-protected location and used only as part of reviewing the application for member accreditation. We have a small number of employees who must be able to access applications and documents for the purposes of reviewing a HospoCred application, however, we have strict policy and technical access controls that prohibit unauthorized access.
  • No details will ever be shared with any other parties.

section 1: EMPLOYMENT
Please provide the following: 

  • A copy of the business’ standard employment agreement for employees [need help? click here

  • A printed wage record for 2 employees
  • A printed leave record for 2 employees

  • A copy of the business’ Employee Handbook

section 2: WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Please provide the following:

  • A sample training plan for new or existing staff
  • A copy of the business’ org chart [need help? click here]
  • A sample performance appraisal template [need help? click here
  • A copy of all employees remuneration rates [find industry benchmark remuneration rates here]

section 3: BUSINESS PRACTICES / POLICIES
Please provide the following:  

  • Evidence from insurance company, or certificate showing current business insurance in place
  • A copy of the current food grade certificate (if applicable) for the business
  • A copy of the liquor licence for the business (if applicable)
  • A copy of the workplace health & safety programme in place for the business
  • A copy of each of the business policies that are in place from the list in the Policy / Business Practices section. These are:
  • Sustainability / social responsibility policy

section 4: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Please provide the following:

  • Financial statements (profit and loss, cash flow, balance sheet) for the previous 12 months

section 5: TRAINING / PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
