Job Description:
Executes our menu & events by cooking guests’ orders according to their preferences.
Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same.
Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high- temperature surfaces
Experiments to come up with new flavours & specialties for seasonal events, small functions and new menu’s. We like to support local suppliers & fresh local produce.
Works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings.
Ensures that the kitchen is clean and the equipment is maintained.
Takes direction and works with the restaurant’s administrative team and senior chef.
In order to be a successful applicant, you will need:
- Good knowledge of culinary arts
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g. kitchen hand, chef)
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene regulations
- A valid work visa
