The physical ‘Take Me Out’ vouchers come in an elegant paper form and pocket, available in $20, $50, and $100 denominations. These are mailed directly to the recipient along with a personalized gift message. For a super-quick option, electronic vouchers are emailed instantly to the recipient. The customer simply presents the physical voucher, the e-voucher on their mobile device, or offers a printed copy of the e-voucher, when dining out. Scan the e-voucher QR code or enter the voucher number in the voucher portal online to redeem and confirm the voucher’s validity. Electronic and physical vouchers must be used in full, however you may provide change. Payments to you are made weekly` and there are no fees or cuts taken. There is no cost involved in taking part in the programme, and the customers with these vouchers and cards can only use them exclusively at participating RA member establishments.

This initiative not only drives customer traffic to our member establishments but also ensures that the full value of each voucher is realised by you. Essentially this is free marketing for your business.

Gift Cards

The Restaurant Association also partners with EpayNZ to offer the reloadable plastic gift cards that are available at supermarkets and petrol stations around the country. These cards can be used across multiple visits by a customer until the balance is depleted and are redeemed by using them with your EFTPOS terminal. We first need to set you up to accept the gift cards with EpayNZ (the RA will help collect the relevant information off you), and if you make changes to your terminals then you’ll need to update these details with EpayNZ to ensure they still work.

Customers search for places to redeem their gift card by using the filter for ‘Accepts Gift Cards’ on dinefind.co.nz. If you are not signed up to accept these cards, you won’t be on this list and you won’t be able to accept them.

Dinefind – your free marketing platform

Dinefind is the home of the gift voucher and gift card programme. It is a hospitality venue listing guide that features Restaurant Association members exclusively. Listings are sorted by region and can be searched and filtered by cuisine style, price, location, features and more. Dinefind also hosts our blog platform featuring frequent articles and “best of” lists to promote the venues on the site. These articles are shared across social media and promoted in many ways to get traffic to the site. You have control over your listing and can update the information through the RA member dashboard.
