The Restaurant Association is excited to announce a new partnership with NZChefs.

This partnership will see stronger collaboration, creating pathways that strengthen the industry’s future, and provide upskilling and career development opportunities to create a more sustainable future workforce.

Restaurant Association CEO Marisa Bidois says “This new partnership aligns well with our kaupapa, providing an opportunity to work together to champion the hospitality industry and to promote hospitality as a career choice. “

The partnership will see the Restaurant Association and NZChefs collaborate on the Hospitality Summit 22- Te Tihi o Manaakitanga 22. This inaugural event will be hosted in Tamaki Makaurau, and will give the hard-hit city a much-needed boost to industry morale. Scheduled for 22-24th May, the annual event aims to support the hospitality, accommodation, and tourism sector by offering a multi activity event to support, network, showcase, promote, learn, inspire, and compete.

The programme includes the Hospitality Championships, Restaurant Association Hospo Hui, NZChefs Pitmasters BBQ Battle, and XPO Connect Hospitality, Tourism and Accommodation trade exhibition.
“After 2 years of uncertainty, stress, and immense burden on our Tourism & Hospitality sector, NZChefs are truly excited to partner with the Restaurant Association and join in with showcasing our industry at this one-stop-shop event” says NZChefs Executive Officer Janine Quaid.

“Hospitality Summit 22- Te Tihi o Manaakitanga 22 aims to bring people together under the values of Manaakitanga and offer networking, education, knowledge sharing, and featuring competitions exhibiting skills and talent to everyone through a range of events and activities.”
