This programme is designed to explain what workers, businesses, high-level management and anyone who is in the workplace need to do when it comes to health and safety. The associated downloadable templates and policy files combine to make your full health & safety plan!
There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to health and safety, so businesses need to work through the process of creating their own health & safety manual along with operational procedures to follow, and that is what this package is here to help you with.
With the information broken down into shorter “lessons” it will help you understand what is needed and give you the appropriate templates and assistance to create your own plan and fully understand the Health & Safety obligations of your business.

Main Outcomes
The main outcome of completing the programme is not only a thorough and underpinning knowledge of Health & Safety procedures for your business but also a complete H&S policy document. In the Policy section, you will find the starter template, and then in following sections you will collect individual policy templates to complete and add to the starter template.

This manual is based on the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and its regulations.
WorkSafe is New Zealand’s health and safety regulator. WorkSafe’s website also has a lot of helpful information, including specific guides for different areas of the Act. Its special guide, the Introduction to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, is a good place to start.
