The Restaurant Association, with the support of American Express and Nova Energy, will be hosting a Taranaki MeetMe member briefing at The Hour Glass, 49 Liardet Street, New Plymouth on 24 March at 2.30pm. The Restaurant Association’s member briefings connect regional members to national experts on subjects important to your business.
This member briefing will be in three parts:
Part 1: 2.30pm – 2.45pm
Get the latest industry update, presented by the Restaurant Association. We’ll let you know about some of the upcoming RA events and activities, as well as any developments impacting the hospitality industry.
Part 2: 2.50pm – 3.30pm
Key presentation by Jonathan Young, MP for Taranaki
Member of Parliament for New Plymouth, Jonathan Young will be joining our member briefing. He’ll talk about National’s key initiatives for the region, hospitality in the area and will also discuss the Party’s policy plans for Election 2020.
Jonathan has been MP for New Plymouth since 2008. Born and raised in Taranaki, originally on a farm at Otakeo, Jonathan has also lived in Hawera and New Plymouth. He is the National Party spokesperson for Energy and Resources, Regional Development (North Island) and Arts, Culture and Heritage.
This is a great opportunity for members to talk with their local MP, ask questions, and share the challenges facing the industry.
Part 3: 3.30 – 4.00pm – Networking
We’ll have food and drinks kindly provided by Kapiti Cheese, Barkers and Clearview Estate Winery. Join us to catch up with local operators, as well as your local Restaurant Association rep Alastair!
