The Government has approved another wage subsidy.
Applications for the fourth subsidy (Wage Subsidy August 2021 #4) will open at 9am Friday 1 October and will close at 11.59pm, Thursday 14 October. This is for all eligible businesses and self-employed people who are affected by the continuation of Alert Level 3 or 4 from 17 August 2021. This includes businesses operating at lower alert levels outside of Auckland.
Eligible business must have or predict at least a 40% decline in their revenue from 28 September to 11 October, 2021 that can be attributed to the effect of the continuation of higher alert levels.
Additional note re wage subsidy #4: If there is a change in your area from Alert Level 3 or 4 to Alert Level 2, or from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 3 or 4, you may attribute your revenue decline to the effect that any combination of Alert Levels 4, 3, and 2 has had on your business, but not to the effect of Alert Level 2 alone.
Businesses that applied for the Wage Subsidy #3 payment and who meet all the eligibility criteria for Wage Subsidy #4, can apply for another wage subsidy payment two weeks after their previous application.
If you’ve not applied for the previous subsidy, applications are open until 30 September at 11:59 pm.
