Being an employer-focused membership organisation, the Restaurant Association has a diverse range of services and resources available to our Members. As one of our Legal Advisors you’ll be assisting and advising our Members on a wide range of current topics, including employment relations, health and safety, human resources and other areas of industry compliance.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused person, with excellent listening and problem-solving skills. It is also essential that you have the ability to conduct research, have a thorough understanding of the employment law in New Zealand and knowledge about or a willingness to learn about other areas relevant to hospitality business owners in order to assist in answering our busy helpline and developing our resources.
Knowledge of the Food Act, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act would be an advantage as would being a licenced immigration advisor. A professional manner is essential for this mainly telephone-based role, however, there are many opportunities to meet members face to face as well so an ability to communicate well in person is also important.
