About The Restaurant Association Education Trust

The Education Trust was established in 1993, with the single purpose of providing training and education for the hospitality industry.

It co-owns ‘HospitalityNZ’ , an annual Auckland based hospitality showcase. This event also incorporates ‘Wine New Zealand’, the ‘New Zealand Culinary Fare' and the 'Telecom MasterClasses'. Show profits are returned to the industry via an education scholarship programme.

Each year, as well as making grants to worthy industry activities, the Trust supports a commitment to furthering education and career enhancement for individuals in the industry through the Education Scholarship Programme. These scholarships, which annually amount to $45,000, span secondary school level, through to apprenticeships and advanced hospitality management.
